| My car is almost out of paint and after a walk around yesterday I noticed a few things that are really really bothering me. I've tried to compile a list of issues to bring up before i recieve the vehicle. I may or may not show him this actual list, as he'd probably just blow up on me. I had Stillen type III skirts, door fillers, and front lip added as well as a FULL repaint including door jams dent removal and panel alignment. One of the more concerning issues is gobs and gobs of overspray in my intercoolers. SO much that they will barely have any flow of cooling air. What I'm trying to get out of this posting is a feel for how common these issues are, and weather I should pursue these issues or just be happy to have my baby back. It should be noted most of these things were promised verbally, and that the deal was originally made with the condition that i could have any requests or changes made during the painting and it would not affect price. But for what it is worth her is what I've got: Conditions of Receipt The receipt of the vehicle is contingent on the following repairs now, or in the future. • Alignment of passenger side quarter panel with door, and any repair or rework required to do so. • Elimination of waves in door fillers. • Repair or replacement of passenger side door filler that was unnecessarily shortened. • Repair, refurbishment, or replacement of the two intercoolers that received serious overspray. Leaving the paint will cause serious engine damage. The following actions were taken at the risk of the shop, against the orders of the customer: • Riveting of polyurethane/polypropylene bodywork against a steel body. Thermal expansion will cause waviness and cracking of body filler. • Use of the original front fascia instead of replacement factory fascia as agreed to by the insurer and customer. • Riveting of front lip and use of body filler to mask the rivet locations. Cracking of the body filler due to contact with the road or aerodynamic load will not be the responsibility of the customer. • Not painting underneath the lip and side skirts as requested. • Not facilitating the removability of the lip and side skirts for service reasons.
